Christmas Tea 2008

Good Morning!

Temperature this morning at the farm is 9 degrees F!! I moved several rosemarys and a bay laurel inside the greenhouse last night because this is just too darned cold for most anything!!

I have been wanting to post some pictures of the Christmas Tea held at the Herb House on December 14, 2008. Forty people attended the tea (38 ladies and 2 brought their gents!).

It was a wonderful afternoon tea. The food was provided by The Thyme Savor of Raleigh, NC.

After partaking in pork tenderloin rosemary biscuits, chocolate mint truffles, gingerbread pudding with hibiscus cream sauce, assorted scones with herbal jellies and delicious Christmas Spice tea and flowering teas, we played TEAGO, a variation on BINGO, centered around the tradition of tea. Many door prizes were awarded and each person took home a copy of The Tea House Times, a victorian tea magazine! A fun time was had by all!!
For more pictures of the Tea, and a descriptive narrative for each photo, go to 2008 Christmas Tea Photo Gallery

It was a wonderful afternoon of Christmas Tea, Lisa. I can hardly wait for next year. But I hope I don't have to wait that long for another beautiful afternoon of celebration at The Little Herb House. God bless you!
